Brief History of Jhandewalan Temple

The exact origins of this emple are shrouded in time, but local folklore suggests that it was established in the 19th century.  According to the our granth, Shanta Devi was a pious lady who was considered a pious and compassionate one. She was visualized with Mata Shanta Devi. She then decided to establish the temple specifically in the name of the Mata after receiving the divine revelation. The temple was small but has gradually become bigger with time to accommodate as many devotees as possible.
